The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology has published the final rule intended to move the health care ecosystem in the direction of interoperability to improve quality and accessibility of information. The rule implements the information blocking provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act in an effort to further support access and exchange of electronic health information.
