CTSA Program meeting update from the CD2H team

We were delighted to have an opportunity to launch the CD2H with the CTSA Program community at the recent Fall meeting. Our slides are posted here and the content from the entire meeting, including the agenda and all presentations, is available on the CLIC site.

The meeting was a terrific overview of the great work happening at hubs and through initiatives in the CTSA program and the challenges we all face. The opening address by Christopher P. Austin, M.D., Director of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences at the NIH, included a definition of translation: “Translation is the process of turning observations in the lab, clinic, and community into interventions that improve the health of individuals and the public, from diagnostics and therapeutics to medical procedures and behavioral changes.”

We are excited about the role that informatics already plays in this space and look forward to a bright future together!
